We employ a person-centered approach, while working with each resident and their support network to increase community integration. The quality of each residence is closely monitored to ensure the health, safety, and happiness of each person we support. We work with residents on basic skills to help the resident communicate better, care for themselves and problem solve.
While we do not manage the personal finances of the residents. We connect residents with community supports for education on basic management skills.
Education on basis health concerns. We partner with Naomi's House to provide education services. We are not medical providers so, please continue any current medical services.
Basic education and awareness around mental health concerns and stress related issues. We are not mental health providers so, please continue any current mental health services.
We collaborate with family members, social workers, court systems, probation officers and other community agencies to make sure our residents have optimal support as they transition into a more independent life.
Dr. Audrey Townsel is a licensed clinical psychologist in Tennessee. She spent 10 years in the correctional health care industry managing and developing mental health programs. Dr. Townsel witnessed the impact that below standard housing options had on people’s health, mental health and recovery. With a goal of addressing the need for safe housing options, Thrive Integrated Living was developed. It is Dr. Townsel’s aim to provide a comfortable and supportive living space so people can focus of connecting with their natural social and community supports to successfully reach their personal goals.
Tammy Taylor, Licensed Real-estate Professional, Chief Operating Officer of Tayco Priority Construction, and Co-founder of Thrive Integrated Living is focused on the day-to-day operations for the transitional living of the residents. As a community initiative advocate embodying a service for helping others, Mrs. Taylor plans to serve as a liaison for residents transitioning back into society providing resources as well as a structured, safe environment. With a background in Community Involvement and Non-Profit Marketing, she will offer a wealth of community knowledge and outreach for future Thrive residents.
Tammy Taylor is a lifelong resident of Memphis, TN, a graduate of Whitehaven High school, and an alum of The University of Memphis.
DuJuan Taylor, Licensed General Contractor/Builder and Co-founder of Thrive Integrated Living, along with his company Tayco Priority Construction are devoted to the building and housing needs of its' transitional residents. Serving as an entrepreneur; successful business owner and community service advocate Taylor strives to provide affordable, suitable, and stable housing/facilities based on individual demands. After spending over 10 years as Program Director for Team Penny Basketball organization leading a youth initiative to achieve their goals and aspirations through education, leadership, self-esteem, and basketball development he feels there is no better time than the present to help the parents and families of the youth today.
